“SPEECHLESS”

by JOHNBOSCO K. AMAKEZE
I coated the mesh in the Dark Room while the morning sun was shining. Then, I ran out straight in an open air to set the lyrics, “L’il Smile Foundation”. I’d print on a t-shirt, “Lo and Behold!” It was dazzling with the sun gone suddenly muddy And, I said, looking up in the sky “Could you be a little emotional God, ” like men “and, give me a smile through the sun”. It took my breath away! Within a could minutes shone brightly and gently that I dropped the frame in my hand and, took shots of its brilliance. Then, I stopped to take on my work. However, in half an hour I took my phone to see for myself what I’ve got And, behold! It was God that I got Via the most significant and symbolic imageries: Heart (love) And, Dove (Peace) Can’t you see why I’ve gotten to be: “Speechless”, so to speak?
Yes! I believe in miracles!

“NO TOY!”

by CHRIS SERAPHINE
In my childhood I had no toy; Now, in my manhood I find no joy There’s emptiness all around me Pain, to surround me I need a toy And, it’s not that I don’t seek one But, my unkind world That has imposed this woe-be-gone Destiny of doom Will not permit me play So, as I stay: Wondering Pondering Making believe that someday Through some miraculous way I’d be rewarded in divine graces To find a toy That I might play And, at last, find joy In this hapless, wretched world That has deprived me of my childhood Robbed me of my manhood Leave me lonesome But, not lonely For I know I cannot be not the only To be left “toy-less” With a mind in such a mess.
