The Legacy of
MICHAEL JACKSON

"THIS IS IT!" is set for an official world-wide release on October 28. However, as early as today, fans in some of the major cities of the world where the movie will make its premier are already reserving their finances to assure themselves of being among the first to witness the King of Pop's final work before his untimely passing on June 25.
Tim Leiweke, president of AEG, which bank-rolled Jackson's planned "This Is It" tour who is, as well, a key player in the film's production, recalled the moment he got the news of Michael's death in this way: "Well, at first it lets all the air out of you, and you sit here and you're stunned at how quickly it happened and occurred. You're in denial. You can't believe it. You're looking around say, 'What Happened?'"
Crafted from hundred hours of rehearsal footage, THIS IS IT is directed by long time Jackson Collaborator Kenny Ortega, who had been working with the artiste on the concerts.

Reminiscing on the Jack-son tragedy, noted singer, DARLY PHINNESSEE, notes, "It's a matter of mixed feelings first of all to see these guys again, and to be in this space. We finished rehearsing at quarter to midnight the night before Michael died. He was energetic and up and doing his thing. This you will see in the movie".
"You see ... hear the music, you see the studios, the rehearsals, the dancers, the auditions, the costumes," said Leiweke. "You see all of the behind-the-scene ... and, then, you finally see the last few days of the dress rehearsals ... and, you begin to see the genius of Michael: the dancing, the singing, the choreography, and his concept of creating a one-time performance that no one would ever forget".
Clearing all speculation, Leiweke firmly stated that the movie will provide proof that AEG had Michael's well-being in mind.
It was obvious that AEG's whirlwind major cities world-wide THIS IS IT blast was a meant to be a "come back campaign" to get Michael Jackson back in the headlines and in the forefront of international entertainment where so rightly belonged.

In recent times, news coverage of Michael Jackson had, in most part, been unflattering; be it of his wealth, his health, and the people who meant so much to him. Regardless of the negative impressions and opinions, Michael will be remembered for what... and, as whom he so rightly deserved: THE GREATEST EVER! His album, THRILLER, may never be outsold.
According to Leiweke, "THIS IS IT" will re-create an opportunity to celebrate Michael's fame, and dispel all the unjust and unfair gossip and all the innuendos targeted to deny him of his true self and his unequalled achievements".
